Personal Floating Link & Recovery Hardware
Safety and Innovation for Marine Operators
Quick and Safe Recovery for Those Working at Sea
Harken introduces the man overboard recovery system, developed in collaboration with the Genoa Port Pilots. Specifically designed for pilots and pilot boats, this innovative system is ideal for all operators working in marine environments where there is a risk of falling into the water.
The system consists of two main components: the PFL (Personal Floating Link) and the RH (Recovery Hardware). The PFL is a self-inflating ring that allows an operator to quickly and safely latch onto a person who has accidentally fallen overboard. Once attached with the PFL, the RH enables the person to be easily recovered, making the entire operation manageable by a single individual.
This system not only enhances the safety of marine workers but also improves the efficiency of rescue operations. With Harken, your team will always be protected and ready to handle any emergency at sea. The safety of your operators is our priority.
PFL (PERSONAL Floating Link)
The PFL (Personal Floating Link) is an innovative device designed to assist in the recovery of a person who has fallen overboard while working on a vessel.
Intended to be installed on a lifejacket equipped with a certified anchor point dedicated to lifting the person (e.g., Spinlock Duro Solas), the PFL provides safety and peace of mind in critical situations.
The PFL consists of an inflatable, buoyant ring connected to a 12-meter floating lanyard, all contained in a convenient pouch. The ring inflates automatically upon contact with water thanks to a sensor and CO2 cylinder, ensuring immediate and safe intervention.
Specifically designed for pilots, the PFL is ideal for all operators working in marine environments where there is a risk of falling into the water. Its versatility and reliability make it an essential tool for those working at sea.
RH (Recovery Hardware)
The RH (Recovery Hardware) consists of a motorized retractable winch (Harken CLR) and a telescopic davit, providing an efficient and safe solution for recovering individuals who have fallen overboard.
Specifically designed for pilot boats, this system can be installed on various workboats where the recovery of a person overboard may be necessary. Its versatility makes it suitable for multiple marine applications.
The CLR Winch is operated via foot switches, optimized to be pressed even when wearing work shoes, ensuring easy and immediate control. The telescopic davit is equipped with pulleys for rope return, ensuring smooth and hassle-free operation.
